I am a History and German major and plan on dragging out my graduation until 2011… I also am a Sociology minor and Global Studies Certificate candidate. My focus of study is 20th Century Europe, and my research is on the European Union, specifically defense policy in the face of the Soviet Union. I’m currently exploring the Soviet Union and 19th and 20th Century Russian culture in my course selection.

I have served as the Clavinger, Clerk, Treasurer, and currently am the Second Vice President, or Second Assistant, of the Phi Kappa Literary Society. My other campus involvements include Aids Walk Run Athens, where I am a founding board member and the Volunteer UGA liaison, and volunteering for Odyssey of the Mind, a creative problem solving competition that encourages youngsters to use their noggins!

When I’m not doing these things, you are most likely to find me barefoot in the kitchen, baking up yummy things! I also enjoy crafting with Sister Melear and collecting ridiculous things with garden gnomes on them. Currently experiencing an existential crisis about career plans - eek!
