Guests
Dear Guest,
I would like to thank-you for visiting our site and encourage you to attend one of our upcoming meetings. All guests are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the debate through speaking or asking questions.
In addition to class assignments and some student groups, numerous professions demand a strong background in interpersonal communication, as well as general public speaking in order to be successful. Unfortunately, there are few opportunities to improve upon public speaking, and often, though opportunities may exist, people rarely seize them. Phi Kappa is such an opportunity, and I ask you to consider it.
Through competitive oratory and debate, we seek to improve an individual’s ability to speak, as well as his respective leadership skills and confidence. For almost 200 years the future leaders of many industries and public service fields first developed their interpersonal communication skills in Phi Kappa Hall. We seek to fulfill this tradition today, with many campus leaders among our ranks (Please see Notable Alumni).
Therefore, if you would like to learn more or wish to seize this opportunity come to Phi Kappa Hall on North Campus any Thursday night at 7 p.m. If you are dedicated, and convey your desire to improve in public speaking, you may be fortunate enough to be accepted as a member of our society (Please see Becoming a Member).
Respectfully yours,
Cameron Secord
