Sex Doesn't Sell?

So, “everyone” knows about the new show this fall that premiered on the CW called The Beautiful Life. It was hyped up and stared one former OC star and one former High School Musical star. Well, it was cancelled after two episodes last month. But, my question is how did people in this sex-starved country pass up the chance to watch the show with these naked people in it?

This reminds me of Sister Baker's project last spring, when she was looking at the degradation of women in advertising. I would love for her to post the video essay she submitted!

Also, i took a class last may on the concept of the body. one of the key things we talked about was how nudism helps to de-sexualize the body, and make things like this, where there is a tiny censor bar, less mysterious.

What do you guys think - should we, in the modern age, embrace the human body and make it more a commonplace in society, both advertising and elsewise, or should we cover up and return to the more conservative ways of the past (making this type of advertisement an attention grabber)?
